This month I chose "Drapchi" by Andrew Rayel. I first discovered this artist during an armada podcast in 2011. As soon as I heard this piece, I was absolutely engaged in the sounds and enveloped in the true meaning of Trance Music. This piece has both modern and classical elements fused into a breathtaking harmony. I have yet to see the talents of Rayel challenged. The piece begins with a strong beat and leads into a choral element. The choral rhythm conveys such emotion followed by a piano piece which creates an element of surreal reality. Andrew's use of the choral, heavenly voices is absolutely amazing, he is able to fuse these classical sounds with electronic music to create a "goose-bump" experience. I hope you enjoy this piece, definitely one of my favorites. Happy listening!!!

This month's featured Back Track is "Sssst...(Listen) by Jonah. It is a German trance track released in 1999 and most surely is a classic by its own merits. The track was very popular in the early 2000's as an introduction piece during weddings, engagements and similar ceremonies in the NYC area. It was a staple track for many Disc Jockeys at the time. The signature "Listen" vocal during a moment of silence leads into a bass drop. This track is sure to hook you from beginning to end. Happy listening, love this piece!!!

I am pleased to introduce this months' Deep Space Track. Monthly selections will be characterized by sounds intended to transport you to a higher state of trance. I will play sounds from Andrew Rayel, John Mig, Gaia, Roger Shah just to mention a few. Such rhythms can invoke heavenly and other worldly images and the sounds will take you to a surreal state.
